Iveta Demirova
Founder, President
Iva has always been driven by curiosity, and as the years went on, her inquisitiveness evolved into a passion for STEM as she attended workshops and conferences, and competed in and won a national biotech research competition. She loves science because of the impact she sees it has on society, from creating new treatments for diseases, to designing green energy solutions, to understanding the fundamental ways in which the world works. Learning about the cutting edge of human knowledge and ingenuity excites her and, for years, she has led and organized activities to help students develop the base to experience this too. Esprit Science is the embodiment of this will to make STEM accessible and exciting, to foster the development of the next generation of STEM leaders.

Katherine SiroisCo-Founder, Project Manager
Ever since she was a little girl, Katherine has been passionate about science and technology. She competed in 3 Canada-Wide science fairs and organised science activities during the summer for her neighborhood. Now a computer engineering student at McGill, she realises that her passion started when she was just a kid thanks to the constant exposure to the STEM fields. |
Alyson Jiang Communications Director
If it weren’t for the hands-on lab activities, workshops and dissections in her high school science class, Alyson would have never discovered her passion for the sciences. Currently studying Life Sciences at McGill University, she hopes to help young students discover their passion for the STEM fields, even they don’t quite know it themselves just yet. |
XinG Han LuAI Overlord
A Computer Science student, Xing Han hopes to pursue a career in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. AI is quickly becoming a pillar of many industries, influencing, and improving both small and big tasks through automation and assistance. He is confident that by pursuing this field, he will be able to positively influence many aspects of society and that by guiding young students towards STEM fields, they too will have an immense impact to their communities. |
Yunke Xiao IT Director
Yunke once believe that the Earth was flat, that vaccines cause autism and that evolution is a hoax. Thanks to Esprit Science, he now knows better and decided to help them enlighten young students on the subject of STEM fields. Along the way, he picked up enough skills in programming to be now studying it at McGill University and plans on teaching younglings the art of coding. |
